House District 28

Jimmie Hall has over 25 years of experience in the agricultural industry with hands-on management, planning, organizational and operating experience.


Jimmie has a Bachelors of Science with an emphasis on Animal Science from West Texas State University, and a Masters of Agriculture, also from West Texas State University.


Jimmie currently serves as the Executive Director of the 4-H Development Foundation and Ranch and Farm Operations, where he developed and implemented a Foundation Marketing Program that resulted in over $90,000 being raised annually to support statewide 4-H activities.


Prior to his current position, Jimmie was with Farm Credit for 24 years, where he worked as an Association Examiner, Credit Analyst, Credit Manager and President of a Production Credit Association, (PCA). During his tenure as President of the PCA, PCA’s assets grew more than 100% and the overall credit quality improved dramatically. When Jimmie became President the PCA had a substandard ranking, but under his leadership, the PCA received the highest rating available in the Farm Credit System for a PCA.


For seven years, Jimmie served as Secretary/Treasurer of the New Mexico Livestock Board. During the 1990’s, Jimmie served on the New Mexico Drought Task Force.
Jimmie has received numerous awards and recognition in the agricultural industry throughout his distinguished career.


Jimmie currently serves New Mexico citizens as the Republican Representative from District 28 in the New Mexico House of Representatives. He sits on the House Education Committee, the House Agriculture & Water Committee, the Interim Land Grant Committee, and the Interim School Funding Formula Study Committee.
